Dear Friends of WAD
It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest greetings to all the readers of the 2012 special edition of the WAD review.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and WAD have been engaged in a successful partnership ever since WAD was founded in 1994. KAS has contributed to the work of WAD by financial and logistical support for infrastructure as well as projects. Countless activities, primarily in the field of civic education and women empowerment, have been jointly prepared, organised and conducted.

By implementing the EU co-funded project “My rights as a Namibian Woman and Citizen! Gender and Human Rights Awareness Raising for Namibian Citizens” we have entered into a new phase of our partnership that will hopefully promote the underlying principles of the both of our organisations – democracy, rule of law and human rights – even more. Thus I wish WAD and all its partners continuous success. Let us all make the beautiful country of Namibia even a better place to live in.
